Dr. Lisa Gulcher is a doer, a maker and a pioneer. She started her career as an oncology nurse, often serving as a traveling nurse for underserved communities. After completing her residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in 2002, she was asked to stay on as chief resident. With much consideration, she graciously turned down the offer to join her husband in Reykjavík, Iceland, as the head of the Genetic Diagnostics division for DeCode Genetics. In 2004, Gulcher and her family moved back to the states, and she transitioned into a position as an internist at a primary care office (Medical Care Group) in Arlington Heights, Illinois. It was there that she noticed her clients inquiring about cosmetic injections for the first time—and a lightbulb went off: Gulcher had the foresight to create a dual medical/med spa practice that would be VIP all the way. She would limit the practice to 200 clients and offer on-demand appointments for everything from an annual exam to a bit of Botox.

And just like that, she received her certification from Aesthetic Advancements and opened the first female-owned concierge medical/med spa practice in Illinois in 2006. By 2009, the aesthetic business was booming, and Gulcher chose to pivot once more, shuttering her dual practice so that she could put all of her passion and energy into aesthetics—and launched Advanced Medical Aesthetics (AMA Med Spa) in Lake Zürich. Over the course of the next 15 years, she outgrew AMA’s original space, moved into a larger one, and hired 20 employees, all the while building close relationships with the brands spearheading this space, including Allergan (the maker of Botox and Juvéderm) and Galderma (the maker of Dysport and the Restylane family of fillers). Simultaneously, Gulcher began teaching and training new injectors and reps, consulting for Allergan and Galderma, and speaking on behalf of pioneering skincare and beauty brands like SkinMedica and Latisse.

In 2018, Gulcher and her family relocated to Naples, Florida. By 2019, she had completed the buildout and design of her third med spa: a beautiful, 1,800-square-foot boutique practice in the Village Shops on Venetian Bay—but this time it would be called TIME 4 U Med Spa. A Naples staple for three years running, TIME 4 U Med Spa offers a breadth of minimally invasive and nonsurgical cosmetic treatment options (think PRP rejuvenation, cutting-edge dermal fillers, thread lifts and more). Today, as the founder and board-certified aesthetician behind TIME 4 U Med Spa, Gulcher has established a fiercely loyal following and earned a reputation for having an intuitive chair-side manner. And she continues to share her expertise as a member of myriad professional organizations within her field, including the National Society of Cosmetic Physicians and the American Med Spa Association.

But the brand building doesn’t stop there. In 2020, Gulcher decided to add a lifestyle arm to the TIME 4 U brand with the addition of the TIME 4 U Estate, a 3,000-square-foot luxury vacation property and pool designed for privacy and elevated good times. And in 2021, she added the TIME 4 U Yacht (a 72-foot Galeon FLY yacht for cruising the Gulf of Mexico) and TIME 4 U Ride (two luxury limos for on-demand transportation around Naples) to the expanding brand portfolio.

TIME 4 U’s mission aims to be holistic, going beyond the quality of the first-class aesthetic treatments + lifestyle amenities it provides to make a broader statement about wellness, timeless beauty + joy. Beyond her impressive career achievements, Dr. Lisa Gulcher is a kindhearted human who considers herself an eternal student of life. She is endlessly motivated to learn more and do more, driven by a genuine desire to make a difference and help people. Whether it’s empowering her clients with confidence at TIME 4 U Med Spa, donating advanced skincare products to cancer patients or inspiring people to disconnect and just be via the TIME 4 U brand’s Estate and Yacht, Gulcher goes through life with an open heart. And she is a good steward of her community, too. In Naples, TIME 4 U donates its time and services to the Freedom Waters Foundation, an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children, individuals with special needs, and veterans by providing therapeutic boat experiences. Most recently, TIME 4 U raised $12K for the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and its commitment to preserving Collier County’s mangrove forest, uplands and protected waters.
